Free Comic Book Day Weekend is here!

This first weekend of May will have me and my Legion cohort, W.C. Carani appearing at Westfield Comics in Madison, WI on Saturday May 3, 2008. We'll be there to sign books and give away our new Legion print, so stop by and grab one. Upon looking at the print I can't believe I forgot that chicken hawk, Gates! D'oh! But I didn't put all the team members on there anyways, so there.

Then on Sunday, May 4th we'll be appearing at the Oconocon in Oconomowoc, WI, just outside of Milwaukee. Again, stop on by and say hi and get a free Legion print in honor of it's 50th anniversary. I'll also have books and prints and will be taking commissions to be done at the show. Hope to see you this weekend!

More life drawing...

While I've been working on commissions, I really haven't had time to produce much more aside from what I've been doing in life drawing so, here are some more. It's always nice to draw a model with some more muscle tone. I found myself using the side of the pencil like a chisel.

Catching up with the life drawing thing....

Here are the last couple weeks drawings from the figure drawing sessions. Only a couple more left to go... Pretty pleased with the way most of these turned out.

Finally got the pencils done today. Gonna hand it off to Mr. Carani for inks. Hopefully we'll be able to have it done before the SDCC souvenir book deadline.

Toto. I don't think we're in Kansas anymore...

Oh wait. We are!
My brother and are are in Overland Park, KS attending the Planet Comicon on April 5 and 6. Sorry it's on such short notice. It would be great to see anyone living in the area come and attend the show and meet all the great guests! I'll be doing sketches and selling prints and sketchbooks, so stop by and say hi and take a look.

Head Games....

So here I was sitting in front of my computer trying to hack some information from the Master Control Program, when it detected my presence and shot a laser beam out that digitized my head and sent it into the virtual world.... hmmm... Why the hell would anyone put a computer terminal in front of a digitizing laser anyways?
This picture is of a 3 D scan of my head from last year. Raven is always getting new technology and I was happy to play guinea pig for it. As well as taking the scan, where you have to sit absolutely still for a few minutes, they also took several pictures at various angles of my face and head where, if character modelers and texture artists want, can use them as a base to start from. It's pretty spiffy.
